The Lopez Lake Recreation Area is a scenic destination 10 miles east of Arroyo Grande. Hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trails run through the oak-studded hills and canyons surrounding Lopez Lake’s 22-mile shoreline. Hundreds of bird and plant species are native to the area surrounding the lake, and the lake itself is a popular fishing and boating spot with a marina.
Mustang Waterpark, on the east side of Lopez Lake, offers a 38-foot tube plunge, two 600-foot water slides, kiddie pools, and poolside cabanas. Another popular attraction adjacent to Lake Lopez is the
